The Dagny Johnson Key Largo Hammock Botanical State Park is Florida State Park, located in the center of Key Largo in Florida Keys, on County Road 905, a quarter of a mile north of the intersection with the Overseas Highway (US 1).
The park's name honors Dagny Johnson, a local environmentalist, and builds on land bought in 1982 after the financial death of Port Bougainville, a project that will include 15 hotels and more than 2,000 condominiums. The park is an important habitat for Key Largo Woodrat and the endangered Cotton Largo Key Cotton, found only in this Key Largo section: 90% of the animal's habitat is in Dagny Johnson Park and the adjacent Crocodile Lake National Wildlife. Refuge.
