Boxer pants (also known as loose boxers or just boxers ) are the type of underwear that is usually worn by men. This term has been used in English since 1944 for all-elastic shorts, so named after the shorts worn by a boxer, for whom the foot movement without a hitch ("footwork") is very important. Boxers come in a variety of styles and designs but are characterized by their suitability.

In 1925, Jacob Golomb, founder of Everlast, designed elastic-waist pants to replace the leather-bound rods worn by boxers. These trunks, now known as "boxers", soon became famous, but were later eliminated by popular Joki-style trousers that began in the late 1930s. Around 1947, boxer pants began to gain popularity again. Two styles, boxers shorts and shorts, have different sales ratios over the next forty years, with regional preference and strong generations.
In 1985, US men's pants were more popular than boxers, with four laps shorter than boxers. Around that time many men who preferred boxers were older men who became accustomed to wearing them when they were in the US military, and the color of the best-selling boxer pants was white. Around that time the boxer began to become popular among young men who wore boxer pants with various colors and prints. Boxer shorts got a fashion boost in 1985 when British model and musician Nick Kamen was stripped to the white box of Sunspel in the 1950s style "Launderette" in Levi ads. Since the 1990s, some men have also chosen boxer shorts as a compromise between the two.

Design
Most boxer shorts have flies in front. Manufacturers of boxer pants have several methods of closing flies: metal buttons or one or two buttons. However, many boxer shorts on the market do not require a fastening mechanism to cover flies because the fabric is cut and shorts are designed to adequately overlap and completely cover the openings. This is commonly known as the open fly design.
Because boxer shorts are sparsely stretched, "balloon seats", loose loose fabric panels on the back rear of shorts, are designed to accommodate the various movements of the wearer, especially bending forward. The most common sewing design of boxer shorts is made with a panel seat that has two seams that run on the outer edge of the rear seating area, creating the center rear panel. Most commercial boxer pants produced mass produced using this design.
Two forms of boxer shorts that are less common are the boxer's "gripper" and "front yoke" boxer. Boxer Gripper has an elastic waist like a regular boxer but has buttons, usually 3, quickly and at the waist so they are fully open.
Yoke's front boxer is similar to a gripper boxer because the waist-wide yoke can be fully opened, and the yoke usually has three buttons to cover it while the fly itself, below, has no closing mechanism. There are two types of boxer yoke: one where there is a short piece of elastic on each side of the waist that yanks the yoke to fit the waist; and "ties" with narrow bands on each side of the yoke, like a rope, tightened and knotted by the wearer to make it perfectly fit. This underwear style was very common during World War II, when the rubber needed for elastic belts should be used for military purposes.
Boxer pants are available in white and solid including pastels, and are available in various patterns and prints as well; Traditional patterns include "geometry" (small repetitive geometric design), plaids and vertical lines. In addition, there are countless "new" boxer shorts. Boxer pants are produced using a variety of fabrics including all cotton, cotton/polyester blends, knitted jersey, satin, and silk.
Fertility
Some studies suggest that tight clothing and high temperatures are not optimally conductive for sperm production. The testes are outside the body for cooling because they operate for sperm production at temperatures slightly lower than other body parts, and boxed shorts allow the testicles to operate within the required temperature range. Compression of the genitals in the pants can cause the temperature to rise and decreased sperm production. There is a similar theory about the risk of testicular cancer. Other sources disputed this theory. A study in October 1998 Journal of Urology , for example, concluded that this type of underwear had no significant effect on male fertility.

The boxer girl has come to market in recent years. They are often used as loungewear. They are different from boyshorts because they are generally longer and more similar to their male counterparts.
In popular culture
In 1975, a Sears catalog photo of boxer shorts created a recurring urban legend. A model seems to have a part of his penis exposed in the photo, which Sears spokesman said as a printing flaw. Despite the widespread interest of the press at the time, Sears reported that only a few letters were received from the general public, and noted that when the images were reprinted in the Spring-Summer catalog, it did not show such flaws. No catalog recall. This incident inspired singer Zoot Fenster 1975 "The Man on Page 602".
