Pashmak (Persian: ???? ?) is a form of Iranian candy or cotton candy, made from sugar. Pashmak is served alone or as a companion of fruit, cakes, ice cream, puddings and desserts. This is widely known as Persian Cotton Candy . Sometimes garnished with pistachio peanuts. Although the texture is similar to cotton candy, the methods and materials are different.
Pashmak comes from the famous Iranian city of Yazd for its many traditional Persian sweets such as Baghlava, Qottab, and Gaz during the Safavid Empire.
A sweet Turkey called pi? Maniye has a resemblance to Pashmak.
