A sleeveless shirt is a sleeveless shirt manufactured, or whose sleeve has been cut. Sleeveless t-shirts are worn by people of any gender, depending on their style. The term "A-shirt" stands for "athletic shirt" because it is often used in sports, such as basketball and field games. In India it is known as banian and is widely used as a t-shirt to absorb sweat and prevent penetration into the outer layer of clothing. In France it is commonly called "marcel" since the first large-scale production by Marcel Eisenberg for Paris handlers during the mid-19th century, or more formally "dÃÆ' Â © bardeur", meaning "porter", "porter" ".
In addition to athletic use, A-shirts have traditionally been used as shirts, especially with suits and shirts.
