Waxed jacket is a long-hip kind of raincoat made of wax cotton cloth, an icon of British and Irish life. Today is usually used for activities outside the city such as hunting, shooting and fishing. This is a waterproof cotton jacket by paraffin-based waxing, usually with a tartan coating and corduroy or leather collar. The main drawback of waxy fabrics is the lack of breathability.
